CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST

Job Description Summary
The Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist maintains and audits procedures, plans, systems, and conducts high-level analytics. This includes, but is not limited to: patient safety, accreditation activities, regulatory inspections, policies and procedures compliance, clinical and environmental risk management, and related data management. The goal is to ensure JHAH's optimal use of resources and timely achievement of project timeframes related to continuous quality improvements.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Finalize reports that outline the levers driving productivity, timely processing, and identify areas of waste or inefficiencies for higher management.
  2. Develop relationships with key stakeholders in internal and external segments, utilizing quality improvement methodologies such as PDSA, Lean Sigma, etc., to eliminate waste or inefficiencies.
  3. Effectively communicate with proponents and stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
  4. Recommend performance improvement projects aligned with the organization's strategic goals and initiatives.
  5. Provide periodic training and development on quality management concepts.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Quality, Clinical, Allied Health, Management, or other Healthcare-related disciplines.

Professional Certifications Required

  • Required: Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), Accreditation or Quality-related certifications or project experience

Years of Experience

Minimum 9 years in business improvement, continuous quality initiatives, and/or project management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
