Job Summary:

The Continuous Improvement Officer is responsible for driving a culture of operational excellence across the organization by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and supporting the implementation of process improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in enhancing productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency through data analysis, collaboration, and the use of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across departments using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, etc.).
  • Analyze business processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops, kaizen events, and process mapping sessions to engage teams in improvement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and training materials.
  • Monitor progress of improvement projects, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of improvement efforts with strategic goals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, and communication.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with change initiatives.
  • Stay current with best practices, tools, and technologies in operational excellence and business improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or related roles.
  • Proven knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (certification preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and process mapping software (e.g., Visio).

Preferred:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
  • Project management experience (PMP or equivalent a plus).
