Job description

We have a great opportunity available for a highly qualified Cloud Solutions Architect. This role will provide technical expertise in support of pre-sales activities. The successful candidate will develop general knowledge across all IT areas and assist in the assessment, architectural reviews, design, demonstration, and enhancement of technology solutions as required. This position requires working directly with customers to understand their requirements and carefully draft solutions and technical proposals that meet their needs.

Responsibilities

• Create & manage project plans
• Define project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress
• Work closely with the Sales team to provide full presales assistance in support of the successful achievement of sales targets
• Illustrate the value of the company’s solution to prospects in a compelling manner
• Align the company’s capabilities (products and services) with client business requirements through a professional and ethical business approach
• Participate in Proof-Of-Concept (POC) activities to assist sales in closing deals
• Work closely with sales team to generate leads and opportunities
• Develop cloud-native technical approaches and proposal plans, identifying best practice solutions meeting requirements for successful proposals. Create, edit, and review documents, diagrams, and other artifacts in response to RFPs and RFQs. Contribute to and participate in customer presentations regarding proposed solutions.
• Cloud Architecture: Develop public/hybrid cloud reference architecture, define target state cloud architecture, experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, migration considerations, microservices architecture, and hybrid cloud integration architecture.
• Cloud Deployment: Design hybrid cloud deployment architectures, integration, and security. Knowledge in cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OCI, OpenShift, Docker, etc.
• Design deployment architectures for IaaS/PaaS/SaaS addressing client needs and lead implementation teams.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V) is a plus.
• Experience with workload migration using automation tools across multi-cloud environments.
• Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies, processes, and tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across at least two cloud IT disciplines such as architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations
• Experience in deploying and operating large-scale applications on AWS/Azure/GCP
• Understanding microservices and serverless architectures is an advantage
• Good understanding of application architecture, APIs, software frameworks, and internal communications
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of cloud service costing and optimization
• Experience with major AWS and Azure services
• Proven ability to conduct POCs and implement designs in AWS/Azure
• Azure Certifications required; additional cloud provider certifications are a plus
