Consultant, SAP BI-Planning

Job Responsibilities

1. Works on more than one engagement at a time.
2. Assists the IT planning team during project evaluation phases and supports the project manager in developing and implementing project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
3. Understands business requirements and collaborates in exploring best practices through process design workshops. Works closely with the IT planning team to ensure projects align with overall business objectives and are well-justified.
4. Responsible for executing assigned project tasks within areas of competence, including stakeholder communication, working with task groups, configuration, and supporting business users during testing cycles.
5. Implements all project activities in assigned areas to meet requirements, adopting ASAP/PMI methodologies.
6. Provides business user support via SAP incident and problem management, manages changes, and ensures proper knowledge transfer and documentation.

Continuous Development and Collaboration

• Continuously develops core, specific, and cross-functional skills, applying knowledge gained from each project to improve future execution.
• Interacts with SAP organizations as needed to address specific business needs efficiently.
• Ensures timely delivery of high-quality outputs that meet business expectations.
• Trains departmental staff on SAP functionalities to enable independent use without ongoing technical support.
• Recommends procedural improvements and oversees the implementation of instructions and controls to ensure compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensures adherence to safety, quality, and environmental procedures within SAP activities to promote safety, legislative compliance, and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or Management.
• SAP functional certification in relevant modules.
• At least 4 years of SAP BI/Planning experience, preferably in large industrial or utility organizations.
• Significant experience in defining business processes and functional specifications with users.
• Experience or training in system operation is advantageous.
