About the Hospital

Originally opened in 1982, this National Guard hospital has expanded to a current bed strength of 800 beds to serve the needs of the military, their dependents, civilians, and VIP patients in the Jeddah area. This hospital provides specialist care in Anaesthesia & ICU, Cardiopulmonary Services, Oral & Dental Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Medical Imaging, Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Surgery, and the Home Health Care Program.

It is also home to a state-of-the-art Oncology Centre opened in 2001 with Medical Oncology and Paediatric Oncology as the focus. Subsequent developments have expanded services to include Bone Marrow Transplantation, Brachytherapy, and Outreach Programs.

Qualifications Required

To qualify as a consultant with this institution, and as per licensing authorities, you need:

  • 3 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
  • 3 years post-specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
  • UK – CCT
  • USA – American Board
  • Canada – Canadian Fellowship
  • Ireland – CSD/CSCST
  • Australia & New Zealand – Fellowship
  • France – DES/DESC/CIS/DIS/French Board
  • Germany - Facharzt with sub-specialty board
  • Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.

  • Bonus: ½ Months’ salary – End of contract
  • Contract duration: 1- or 2-years renewable

  • Education allowance for up to 3 school-age children from year 1 to year 9 of SR 23,000 per child per year in or outside of Saudi Arabia. Those in years 10,11,12 receive an additional SR 5,000 per year.
