Consultant Pathology (Children s Hospital)

Originally opened in 1982, this National guard hospital has expanded to a current bed strength of 800 beds to serve the needs of the military, their dependents, civilians, and VIP patients in the Jeddah area. This hospital provides specialist care in Anaesthesia & ICU, Cardiopulmonary Services, Oral & Dental Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Medical Imaging, Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Surgery, and the Home Health Care Program.

It is also home to a state-of-the-art Oncology Centre opened in 2001 with Medical Oncology and Paediatric Oncology as the focus. Subsequent developments have expanded services to include Bone Marrow Transplantation, Brachytherapy and Outreach Programs.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

If you wish to apply for this position, you will require the following to qualify as a consultant with this institution, and as per the licensing authorities:

3 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
3 years post specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
UK CCT
USA American Board
Canada Canadian Fellowship
Ireland CSD/CSCST
Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)
France DES/DESC/CIS/DIS/French Board
Germany - Facharzt with sub speciality board
Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.
