ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

Eastern Health Cluster includes all health facilities connected to the Ministry of Health in the Eastern Region, that entails 22 General and Specialized Hospitals and 131 Primary Health Care Centres. The cluster has restructured, including the establishment of Hospital Networks based on geographical location and demographical form to provide integrated health services starting from prevention then primary care; as well as secondary and specialized care in hospitals, home and extended care, virtual medicine and other services at all levels of health care.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

If you wish to apply for this position, you will require the following to qualify as a consultant with this institution, and as per the licensing authorities:

  1. 3 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
  2. 3 years post specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
  • UK – CCT
  • USA – American Board
  • Canada – Canadian Fellowship
  • Ireland – CSD/CSCST
  • Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)
  • France – DES/DESC
  • Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.

Salary: SR to be advised based on Hejra Calendar
Contract Duration: One year (renewable)
Contract Status: Married (if required) Self, spouse & 2 children (to 18yrs)
Accommodation: Provided free of charge – fully furnished
Utilities: Provided free of charge
Flights: Business Class at start & end of contract year
Vacation: 30 days annually + 10 days Local holidays
Emergency Leave: 5 days a year which can be added to leave if not used
Study Leave: up to 10 days a year with maximum SR 15,000 allowance
Medical Cover: Provided or self & family
Transport: As required for work purposes
Hours of Work: 48 hrs a week (approx 07.30 – 16.30)
Start Date: By agreement but asap.
