Woodston Personnel are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Pediatric Nephrology to join a prestigious healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care in the diagnosis and management of pediatric patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases, including congenital and acquired conditions. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, lead service development, and contribute to the education and mentoring of junior staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for:
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of pediatric nephrological disorders, including but not limited to nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, renal tubular disorders, and pediatric hypertension.
- Provide expertise in renal replacement therapy modalities including peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis.
- Participate in the management of children with complex congenital urological anomalies in collaboration with pediatric urology and surgery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pathways and guidelines.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and fellows in the department.
- Participate in on-call duties, ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and interdisciplinary meetings.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient care.
- Support research and continuing medical education within the department.
- Maintain high standards of professional practice in accordance with hospital policies and international benchmarks.

Minimum Requirements
- Valid and current medical license or eligibility for licensure in Saudi Arabia.
- MUST HAVE postgraduate qualification and specialist training such as: American Board (US), FRCS (Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand), Diplôme d’Études Spécialisées (DES) / CIS French Board, Facharzt (Germany or equivalent) with recognised Subspecialty Certification, Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 3 - 4 years post-board/fellowship experience in a Consultant or attending capacity in pediatric Nephrology.
- Excellent clinical/technical skills in his/her specialty.
- Knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
