Job description

Woodston Personnel is seeking an experienced and board-certified Consultant in ENT (Otolaryngology) to join the surgical team of a leading hospital in Saudi Arabia. The consultant will be responsible for the diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment, and ongoing management of patients with conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, active participation in teaching and mentoring, and involvement in clinical governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for:

  1. Diagnose and treat a wide range of ENT conditions, including hearing loss, sinus disease, throat disorders, and head and neck pathologies.
  2. Perform a broad spectrum of ENT surgical procedures including endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsillectomies, myringotomies, thyroid surgeries, and other head and neck procedures.
  3. Provide outpatient consultations, surgical follow-up care, and emergency ENT services.
  4. Collaborate with other specialists including audiologists, speech therapists, oncologists, and maxillofacial surgeons.
  5. Participate in on-call rotation for ENT emergencies and acute cases.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of ENT service protocols, treatment guidelines, and patient care pathways.
  7. Supervise junior doctors, residents, and medical students, and participate in teaching and CME activities.
  8. Engage in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement projects within the department.
  9. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies and legal standards.

  • Valid and current medical license or eligibility for licensure in Saudi Arabia.
  • MUST HAVE postgraduate qualification specialist training as follows: American Board (US), FRCS (Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand), Diplôme d’Études Spécialisées (DES) / CIS French Board, Facharzt (Germany or equivalent) with recognised Subspecialty Certification, Recognised Fellowship in ENT/Otolaryngology from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years post-board/fellowship experience in a Consultant or Attending role.
  • Excellent clinical/technical skills in his/her specialty.
  • Knowledge of Arabic.
