Job description

  • To manage the care of new and follow up patients at Riyadh Hospital from consultation through to completion of treatment.
  • To maintain accurate and clear medical records.
  • To ensure consistent medical treatment of patients by working in accordance with agreed protocols and achieve medical continuity of care for the Patients.
  • To provide advice to clinical, scientific and administration staff.
  • To facilitate own training under the direction of the Medical Director, in accordance with General Medical Board requirements, best practice, and Riyadh Hospital Policies & Procedures and protocols.
  • To take responsibility for CME and documentation of activity in support of revalidation.
  • To comply with current laws, regulations, and accreditation standards such as MOH, SCFHS, SFDA, CBAHI, JCI, etc.
  • To assure the credentials, privileges, and competencies of the subordinates.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

  • Saudi Board Certified or equivalent is required;
  • Experience not less than three years after obtaining the required qualification (Saudi Board or an equivalent) or minimum of 5 years if the credential is from the second category according to the SCFHS regulations. For subspecialties, the consultant should have been fulfilled the required training.
  • Current Registration in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, as a consultant, is highly preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP, ALSO certification depending on the specialty is highly required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Profound knowledge of the relevant laws and regulation in Saudi Arabia.
  • Commitment to the ethical code of the profession and the medical field.
  • Good communication and people management skills.
  • Leadership skills and emotional/ social intelligence.
