About the Hospital

Originally opened in 1982, this National Guard hospital has expanded to a current bed strength of 800 beds to serve the needs of the military, their dependents, civilians, and VIP patients in Jeddah. The hospital offers specialist care in Anaesthesia & ICU, Cardiopulmonary Services, Oral & Dental Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Medical Imaging, Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Surgery, and the Home Health Care Program.

It is also home to a state-of-the-art Oncology Centre opened in 2001, focusing on Medical Oncology and Paediatric Oncology. Developments have expanded services to include Bone Marrow Transplantation, Brachytherapy, and Outreach Programs.

Qualifications Required

To qualify as a consultant with this institution, you need:

  • 2 years of Consultant experience in a Western hospital
  • 2 years post-specialist qualification experience from countries such as:
  • UK – CCT
  • USA – American Board
  • Canada – Canadian Fellowship
  • Ireland – CSD/CSCST
  • Australia & New Zealand – Fellowship
  • France – DES/DESC/CIS/DIS/French Board
  • Germany - Facharzt with sub-specialty board
  • Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.

  • Bonus: ½ Months’ salary – End of contract
  • Contract duration: 1- or 2-years renewable
