Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor all relevant contractor electrical construction activity to ensure work meets the planned project schedule and specifications, and is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Monitor and ensure work is completed according to the Project Execution and HSE Management Plans, ensuring full compliance.
  • Execute construction plans through detailed planning and daily supervision of field activities.
  • Prepare resource forecasting and cost trend analysis.
  • Establish, authorize, and implement construction schedules and strategies, including planning, programming, and completion schedules.
  • Ensure alignment of construction schedules with methods, resources, materials, and equipment requirements.
  • Manage scope, cost, time, and schedule changes.
  • Control project expectations regarding labor, equipment, materials, and services, ensuring operations stay within budget.
  • Coordinate with field planners to ensure the execution plan is logical, achievable, and well-resourced.
  • Provide supervision and direction to discipline employees, subcontractors, and field supervisors.
  • Maintain awareness of labor and industrial relations, coordinating with the Industrial Relations group to adhere to policies and processes.
  • Make recommendations for engaging subcontractors and review major subcontract variations.
  • Delegate responsibilities to field staff, including craft supervision, contract administration, construction control, and field office management.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and regular liaison with the Construction Manager.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with the client, aiming for high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and contract terms.
  • Identify and manage risks to promote team cohesion and project success.
  • Lead a proactive work environment focused on project goals.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience as Construction Supervisor/Superintendent on major industrial projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in major greenfield power generation projects.
  • Knowledge of construction management systems, processes, and tools.
  • Strong technical, practical, and leadership skills, with a track record of delivering quality work.
  • Previous trade experience and supervisory roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.
