Construction Safety Supervisor - Offshore

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing professional support to ensure all activities on board comply with Saudi Aramco HSE standards.
  2. Offering expertise on all HSE-related matters on vessels in line with maritime international and company standards.
  3. Ensuring effective implementation of life-saving rules.
  4. Liaising with all stakeholders on board regarding HSE matters.
  5. Supporting vessel management and workforce in HSE risk assessments and job safety analyses.
  6. Delivering HSE training sessions.
  7. Participating in accident/incident investigations.
  8. Coordinating activities of HSE officers.
  9. Performing safety compliance inspections, hazard analyses, and safe work procedures, and preparing reports and recommendations.
  10. Measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of hazard control systems, policies, and procedures, and recommending improvements.
  11. Reviewing injury, property damage, and statistical loss data, and working with management on corrective actions.
  12. Maintaining and ensuring continuous compliance with our Safety Management System (SMS) according to corporate standards.
Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or Process Safety.

Professional Certifications
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (Level-3)
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • ISO 45001:2019 Lead Auditor
  • OHS Level-6 Qualification (e.g., NVQ, OTHAM, IDSE, QUALIFI, ProQual, or equivalent)
  • NEBOSH Process Safety Management
Professional Memberships
  • Membership in any of the following organizations: IIRSM, IOSH (Chartered Member - CM-IOSH), CSP, BRSP.
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas (offshore/onshore) and marine sectors is preferred.
