We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to join our prestigious hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to lead our sales and marketing efforts in one of the world's most significant pilgrimage destinations. The successful candidate will spearhead our revenue growth strategies, enhance our brand visibility, and drive customer engagement in this dynamic market.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximise revenue, occupancy rates, and market share
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and guest preferences to inform strategic decision-making and capitalise on emerging opportunities
  • Manage the sales, marketing, and distribution budget effectively, ensuring optimal return on investment
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key corporate, MICE, and leisure accounts to secure new business and achieve sales targets
  • Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that align with our brand standards and resonate with our target audience
  • Direct the digital marketing strategy, including website optimisation, social media presence, and online advertising initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance guest experiences and strengthen customer loyalty
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and presentations to drive customer engagement and brand awareness
  • Monitor and analyse sales and marketing performance through regular reporting and KPI tracking
  • Ensure all sales and marketing initiatives are culturally sensitive and appropriate for the local market in Makkah

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a luxury hospitality sales and/or marketing role, with demonstrated leadership and strategic acumen
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and optimising market share in the hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of the luxury hospitality market, preferably with knowledge of the Middle Eastern market
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and digital marketing platforms
  • Outstanding leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close high-value deals
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue management principles and practices
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness, particularly in relation to the unique aspects of operating in Makkah
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills highly advantageous
