Job summary

Dar Al Riyadh Group seeks a senior Construction Engineer to lead PMO-backed activities, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with top quality. You will guide cross-functional teams, coordinate procurement, and drive risk management and sustainability initiatives on major projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in construction engineering, with PMO exposure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Professional certification in project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities for PMO projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, timeline, and quality.
  • Oversee development and implementation of construction project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to drive delivery and quality.
  • Collaborate with PMO to align construction activities with broader project objectives and strategies.
  • Develop and monitor construction schedules, milestones, and progress indicators for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and material sourcing, ensuring compliance.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control to verify design, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Interface with regulatory authorities to obtain permits and ensure local regulation compliance.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and construction staff, fostering teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Track project budgets with PMO teams, ensuring cost control measures throughout construction.
