Our client

is seeking a Compliance Safety Specialist to support activities in their Infrastructure Team. Candidates must have signalling, telecom, or track understanding and be responsible for updating all standards.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • This position involves duties related to ensuring ongoing compliance with statutory organizations' licensing and safety certification, as well as internal compliance management.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed.
  • Conduct or direct internal investigations of compliance issues.
  • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
  • Conduct environmental audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
  • Identify compliance issues requiring follow-up or investigation.
  • Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
  • Develop and file appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
  • Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees.
  • Collaborate with human resources to ensure consistent disciplinary actions in cases of violations.
  • Provide employee training on compliance topics, policies, or procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry changes, trends, and best practices, and assess their impact on organizational processes.
  • Verify that all policies and procedures are documented, implemented, and communicated.
