The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that Unifonic adheres to relevant and applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. This involves developing and implementing compliance programs and frameworks, conducting audits, training employees, and identifying and mitigating potential risks of non-compliance.
Help us shape the future of communications by:
Create and implement a compliance framework and program which will enable Unifonic to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and monitor its performance.
Develop standards, policies, procedures and systems for compliance.
Develop, deliver, and review an Annual Compliance Plan to ensure the compliance effort is focused appropriately according to the identified level of risk.
Act as a subject matter expert assessing and advising senior management, board, and committees on existing and emerging regulatory compliance requirements across the organisation.
Identify and maintain an inventory of all applicable regulatory rules and regulations pertinent to the Company.
Supervise and monitor the compliance program and set out an annual compliance action plan that reflects the unique characteristics of the Company.
Monitor the status of all compliance activities and identify, advice, monitor and report on the Compliance Risks that the Company may suffer as a result of failure to comply with applicable rules, regulations and standards.
Provide guidance, counselling, training and / or educational programs to improve the Company understanding of relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic direction to the Company management on compliance.
Prepare and submit clear and brief compliance reports to the Audit Committee.
Communicate with regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
Manage regulatory correspondences, including circulating the notices and follow-ups with stakeholders on open action items and liaising with the respective internal committees to submit the required information to the regulators.
Perform independent investigation and take actions on compliance matters.
Prepare regular, formal, and ad-hoc reports on compliance programs to provide timely and accurate information to the respective committees and senior management.
Escalate any significant non-compliance issues and risks to senior management and the respective committees.
Develop and deliver awareness programs on compliance.
Drive continuous improvement in developing an organization-wide compliance
Keep up to date on changes to relevant rules, laws, and regulations, and propose recommendations to the Audit Committees as appropriate.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance management
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
Experience in conducting internal audits and risk assessments
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Professional certification in compliance or related field is a plus
