Job Overview
The Compliance Manager ensures that Starlinks adheres to all applicable compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across its operations. This role is critical in safeguarding the organization’s reputation, mitigating risk, and fostering a culture of integrity and compliance. The Compliance Manager will design, implement, and monitor compliance programs, conduct risk assessments, and provide advisory support to leadership and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Compliance and Ethics
- Establish and drive compliance programs covering Anti-Bribery, Anti-Money Laundering, Conflict-of-Interest, Third-Party Due Diligence, and ethical conduct.
- Oversee Third-Party Due Diligence programs to mitigate third-party risks.
- Support business units on compliance and ethical issues that arise.
- Investigate and report on whistleblowing cases, recommend corrective actions, and enhance controls.
Trade Compliance
- Develop and manage the sanctions program to ensure proper risk mitigation.
- Monitor sanctions compliance, ensuring effective controls and processes.
- Provide policy, process, and advisory support to business units on trade compliance matters.
- Escalate high-risk trade compliance issues as necessary.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards within Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
- Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact, and update policies and procedures accordingly.
- Oversee regulatory filings, licensing, and renewal processes.
Policies & Procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of compliance frameworks.
- Ensure policies are effectively communicated, understood, and enforced across the organization.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Conduct compliance risk assessments across departments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Implement corrective action plans to address identified risks.
- Collaborate with operational and business leaders to ensure risks are mitigated.
Training & Awareness
- Design and deliver compliance training programs, including induction, refresher, and targeted courses.
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior through awareness campaigns and site visits.
Audit & Monitoring
- Lead internal compliance audits and collaborate with Internal Audit, external auditors, and regulators.
- Monitor compliance performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit on capturing compliance measures within their reviews.
Advisory & Support
- Provide expert advice to business units on compliance-related matters.
- Support contract reviews, due diligence processes, and vendor compliance assessments.
Reporting
- Prepare and present periodic compliance reports to executive leadership.
- Report key risks, trends, and mitigation actions.
- Escalate significant compliance issues and recommend resolutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications such as Certified Compliance Officer (CCO), Certified Risk & Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP), or Trade Compliance credentials are a plus.
- 7-10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks, including ZATCA, SFDA, SASO, and labor laws.
- Proven experience in policy development, risk assessment, and internal audits.
