The opportunity
Training & Development Instructional Design work focuses on developing training curriculum and materials for the general workforce and targeted functional/technical areas including analyzing employee learning needs and partnering with subject matter experts and business management to provide input for course content. Planning and coordinating skills assessments and training. Providing instruction and guidance to trainers; may facilitate training during introduction of new courses. Developing and monitoring metrics for evaluating training and development effectiveness. May include the design of computer-based training programs. May select and/or oversee vendors to develop training content or conduct training. An Expert Professional (P5) is a recognized master's in professional discipline typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Typically, responsible for: establishing operational plans for the job area; developing and implementing new products, processes, standards, or operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results; requires communication with leadership.
How you’ll make an impact
Leads the function through a HUB T&D manager and team.
Definition of T&D strategy for the countries, locations, operating units and functions with +550 employees.
Deployment of Skill matrix & skill needs assessment process to develop the entire organization and deploy specific training plans to address any competence gaps.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to assign appropriate training programs to defined needs.
Work in close collaborations with other Business units and corporate functions to align on training and development function evolution and continuous improvement for the entire BU.
Manage T&D funding from the State or Government through grant and supports the successful completion of Audits for area of responsibility; may select and/or oversee vendors to develop training content or conduct training.
Establishing operational plans for job area. Developing and implementing new products, processes, standards, or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.
Manage training, development, and on-boarding programs for all levels of leaders and manufacturing workforce across all Operating Units, with focus on the HSE, Quality and Operations organization.
Lead the deployment of the Hub’s Structured On-the-Job Training process, with focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, and reduction in qualification time for the manufacturing workforce.
Assess current state and recommend improved training solutions to achieve optimum employee performance and development.
Consult and partner with Hub leadership team, Operations leaders, Human Resources, support functions and SMEs in a collaborative manner to manage the training and development structure, define measures of success and ensure successful execution of strategic plans.
Develop and deploy improved Training management systems to track, monitor and measure effectiveness of training courses.
Identify, develop, and manage toward a set of KPIs to measure effectiveness of training and development strategies and processes; use data to drive continuous improvement of programs and processes.
Actively engage in benchmarking and sharing of best practices with internal and external partners and locations across the Region and globally.
Develop effective training materials utilizing Adult Learning methodologies and develop Trainer capabilities to deliver effective training, including assessment methodologies.
Build organizational capability, drive accountability, and increase employee engagement through effective training solutions, integrated with the ITM system.
Ability to travel to all Hub locations and ability to work independently and collaboratively; self-motivated and disciplined to meet deadlines in the context of competing priorities and projects; lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in curriculum design, with 5+ years of experience in Project management, training program design, learning and development and/or operations/quality leadership. Hourly workforce training experience a plus.
5+ years’ experience leading teams (remote leadership experience preferred).
A proven track record of continuous process improvement; positive leadership; strong planning experience and connecting solutions to business outcomes.
Experience working in a fast paced, continually changing, matrixed manufacturing environment.
Leading and deploying training programs in a manufacturing environment is a plus
A background in Engineering, business management, Project Management, Continuous improvement, Operations & Quality Excellence, production or Business Management roles is a plus, as that facilitates the understanding of a complex organization and its dynamics, to enable the successful implementation of development and training plans with a holistic approach for both Blue-Collar and White-Collar employees.
Must have strong analytical and strategic thinking and must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, flow mapping tools).
Must have demonstrated experience shaping up organizations through successful implementation of training plans / frameworks.
Highly prefer PMP certification / Green-Black belt and experience with HV equipment is a plus.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
