Job description

Our client is a renowned hospital currently looking for a Communications Specialist in healthcare for the Saudi Arabia location.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  1. Working under the general direction of the Manager of the Marketing & Communications Unit.
  2. Liaising with other internal and external communicators.
  3. Consulting with business leaders, project managers, and subject matter experts to determine communication needs.
  4. Coordinating communication and change management activities with multiple partners across the business.
  5. Developing and implementing strategic communication plans in support of HR programs, policies, and services.
  6. Moderating communications throughout the organization and using resources such as social media monitoring and tracking programs for both internal and external communications.
  7. Ensuring messages are consistent with the overall brand and meet company standards to maintain and promote a positive image on behalf of the organization.
  8. Counseling business leaders/project managers in best approaches to organizational communications (verbal, written, presentations).
  9. Writing articles on the hospital services, enhancements, operations, and projects, often consulting with subject matter specialists.
  10. Writing special diversified stories, conducting interviews, and researching subject matter to develop information, as necessary.
  11. Editing news items, features, and columns written by staff or contributors by checking for errors; or as assigned, editing material submitted by other departments intended for presentation or distribution both within and outside the community.
  12. Clearing articles for publication by submitting drafts to concerned members of management up to and including the Chief Executive Officer.
  13. Selecting photographs to accompany news stories and features, considering possible Government, shareholder, and public objection to pictures; writing captions.
  14. Originating material, updating/editing booklets and brochures used by the departments as required, including benefits pamphlets, recruitment brochures, training booklets, and others.
  15. Keeping informed of the hospital and local projects and activity through personal contacts, the Partner Contribution Agreement updates, Highlights, and HR, etc.
