Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning and Testing Engineer to oversee the testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical and control systems in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all systems meet design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements before operational handover. You will collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and maintenance teams to validate system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and document commissioning and testing procedures for electrical, automation, and control systems.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning checks, functional tests, and performance validation of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA) and safety regulations.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, inspection records, and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
  • Provide technical training in operations and maintenance staff post-commissioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), TÜV Functional Safety, or industry-specific credentials).
  • 6+ years in commissioning, testing, or validation within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems, SCADA, HV/LV switchgear, motors, and protection relays.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation calibration and loop testing.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control system diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Area Standards (ATEX, IECEx) and functional safety (SIL).
  • Experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, relay test sets).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in oil & gas, power plants, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DCS, HMI, and industrial networking protocols (Modbus, Profibus).
