Job Description Summary
Responsible for activities related to construction, building, and commissioning on the customer site, including site mobilization, civil, erection, and commissioning work, as well as management activities within this scope. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct supervision, prescribed work instructions, and systems checking. Executes tasks within a well-defined operations framework, following a step-by-step sequence of standard operational procedures to achieve the desired outcome.
This position will be located in the Western Province (Rabigh).
Job Description
What you will do
- Supervise and monitor electrical equipment testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure equipment and systems are prepared for pre-commissioning activities.
- Oversee technical requirements, including quality control and assurance.
- Review schematic drawings and ensure Main Relay settings are available.
- Authorize Testing Engineers, ensure Test Formats are available, and equipment has valid calibration certificates prior to work commencement.
- Prepare detailed testing and commissioning procedures for each equipment activity and quality control plans.
- Ensure safety regulations and instructions are strictly followed, identify high-risk activities, hazards, and develop mitigation plans.
- Conduct on-site training for stakeholders as needed.
- Forecast critical tasks and testing requirements to prevent delays.
- Report progress daily and weekly.
- Coordinate with clients and different agencies for daily activities and resource planning.
- Implement all quality and safety procedures, including testing method statements and risk assessments.
- Report non-conformances related to component failures and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
- Recommend field modifications for plant operation efficiency.
- Update daily testing NCR comments logbook from the customer.
- Manage test equipment, including preservation, calibration, and handling.
- Generate internal punch lists during testing phases.
- Develop schematic drawings for as-built modifications as per site requirements.
- Complete all punch list items.
- Manage project system turnover, including documentation.
- Report on the Return on Expectations (ROE) for each activity upon project completion.
What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and registration with the Saudi Council of Engineering.
- Extensive experience in testing and commissioning engineering for EHV/HV substation projects.
- Willingness to relocate within Saudi Arabia as per business needs.
- Legal right to work in KSA without sponsorship or time restrictions; KSA nationals preferred.
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
