Join our Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation Business Unit as Commissioning Engineer for Oil Field Works in Abu Dhabi, UAE and help us reimagine the world by finding solutions that make tomorrow a more innovative place.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Expert knowledge in testing and commissioning of Transformers, Siemens Switchgears NXAIR, 8DA10, Sivacon S8 and the protection systems.
2. Willingness to work at site in the challenging On and Offshore O&G environment on rotational base with 12 hour working time 7 days a week.
3. Unrestricted mobility.
4. Provide advanced technical support for Siemens distribution systems with a focus on testing and troubleshooting.
5. Deliver testing & commissioning that address unique customer requirements in industries such as oil & gas and petrochemicals.
6. Act as the on-site technical representative for Siemens leading the end-to-end testing and commissioning process.
7. Coordinate and verify testing results, updating site-specific documentation and closing out any open points.
8. Collaborate with customer teams to achieve timely testing and commissioning of the Siemens equipment and acceptance of the testing works.
9. Independently handle complex technical issues and mentor less experienced engineers as needed.
10. Maintain detailed records of service activities and prepare comprehensive test records and reports.
11. Stay current on Siemens products and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.
12. Assess and manage on-site risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, quality benchmarks, and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, high voltage engineering or a related subject is required.
2. Min 5 years’ experience as Commissioning Engineer in O&G Projects.
3. Expert Level knowledge of Siemens MV and LV products and power applications. Commissioning Training Certifications in Siemens Transformers, NXAIR, 8DA10 and Sivacon S8 systems and the protection systems is preferred.
4. Intercultural experience gained by work in the middle east.
5. Ability to perform the testing works, safely, on time, with high quality and with effective planning.
6. By your medical fitness, communication skills, and excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and time-management skills to work effectively under pressure.
