Role: Commis Chef

Location: Fraser Suites, Riyadh - Saudi Arabia

Frasers Hospitality is looking for a Commis Chef to join the team at Fraser Suites, Riyadh. As a Commis Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences within our hotel's kitchen. Supporting the Chef de Partie and wider kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes while ensuring consistency and adherence to food safety standards. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on teamwork, standards, and guest experience.


What You Will Be Doing As a Commis Chef

  1. Reflect the Frasers Hospitality philosophy by providing the highest quality of service to customers and employees, maintaining a positive attitude and team spirit.
  2. Produce high-quality food in a specified area, ensuring that junior cooks are competent to do the same.
  3. Coordinate restaurant and banquet food production, ensuring food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  4. Assist section heads in training junior chefs and maintaining adequate raw products for daily food production.
  5. Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of refrigerators, freezers, and general work areas.
  6. Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
  7. Train and motivate junior staff, evaluate their performance, and suggest promotions or other actions to section heads.
  8. Ensure good team spirit and working atmosphere by setting a good example, giving clear instructions, and following up on results.

You have proven experience in a similar role with excellent communication skills. You are an enthusiastic individual with a passion for food and customer experience. You will enjoy working as part of an amazing team who all share the same passion to create memories that our guests will remember. You have a hands-on attitude with attention to detail and experience in working in professional kitchens.
