Overall Job Purpose
The Commercial Director is responsible for driving the company's commercial strategy, enhancing revenue growth, building strong business relationships, and ensuring the company meets its financial and operational targets. This role involves leading the sales, marketing, and business development teams, identifying new business opportunities, and optimizing the commercial performance of the medical laboratory.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy in alignment with the company’s goals.
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to assess current projections.
- Lead market analysis and business planning to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set revenue targets and company objectives.
- Establish partnerships and strategic alliances to expand the market reach.
- Oversee sales activities, set performance metrics, and ensure achievement of sales targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and key accounts, including B2B and B2G partnerships and contracts.
- Identify and acquire new markets.
- Prepare 3-5 years business plans for potential partnerships and business.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Guide sales team in negotiation and contract management for high-value accounts.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to design effective promotional strategies.
- Enhance brand visibility and ensure alignment of marketing activities with business goals.
- Drive initiatives to increase online and offline customer engagement.
- Develop and manage the revenue budget, ensuring cost-efficiency.
- Prepare financial projections and revenue forecasts.
- Analyze sales and financial data to optimize resource allocation and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and business agreements.
- Work closely with the laboratory and operations teams to align commercial goals with service delivery.
- Follow up, prepare all related private and public tenders including but not limited to NUPCO and Etimad tendering platforms.
- Follow up, prepare all related private and public direct purchases including but not limited to NUPCO and Etimad tendering platforms.
- Ensure strong relationships with the Ministry of Health and other government entities.
- Leverage existing connections with hospitals and healthcare institutions in the Central Region of Saudi Arabia.
Skills
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in any medical field major (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
Must have at least 10 years of experience in healthcare businesses, preferably in medical laboratory industry.
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and leading successful sales and marketing teams.
Familiarity with NUPCO and Etimad platforms.
Strong experience in the Central Region of Saudi Arabia with direct access to the Ministry of Health.
Demonstrated experience in government and B2G (Business to Government) sectors.
Established strong relations with hospitals and healthcare institutions.
