Job description

Performs manual labor along a production line; operates and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers; may perform minor repairs as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate / trouble shoot production line machinery and computers.
• Perform equipment change-avers.
• Responsible for quality control; making adjustment as necessary to produce product within specifications; rejecting product outside specifications.
• Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Coordinate with Maintenance department and perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery.
• Communicate with operator from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Take care of the machine/equipment under his responsibility. Such as follow start, stop procedures. Turnoff and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:

• Assist mechanics and machinist in repair work.
• Perform back-up for warehouse.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Maintain material supply adhering to just in time manufacturing principles.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Technology and/or equivalent.

Required Skills :

• Knowledge in Package Sub-station, LV Switchgear, LV Panel Boards and Distribution Boards.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds load is required.
