Cluster Purchasing Manager - Six Senses Saudi Arabia

Position: Cluster Purchasing Manager

The Cluster Purchasing Manager will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the purchasing function to provide exceptional products within brand operating standards. This includes the preparation and processing of requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment, as well as storage and stock takes.

Responsibilities:

1. Source and purchase the most suitable products for the operation that are relevant and in line with Six Senses policies, wellness, and sustainability practices.
2. Regularly review suppliers and contracts to ensure conformity with Six Senses requirements.
3. Conduct vendor and market assessments, ordering, stock takes, and storage at required times to ensure stock is available, of the right quality, and properly stored according to Six Senses standards.
4. Implement a fair and transparent vendor/supplier vetting process, holding vendors/suppliers to Six Senses sustainability and EatWithSix Senses guidelines.
5. Proactively engage in weekly Farmers Markets and make purchasing trips to local farmers, bakers, and fishermen to support local community vendors and suppliers before choosing large global vendors.
6. Visit vendor distribution, processing, or business locations annually.
7. Ensure all policies, procedures, and best practices are in place and rigorously enforced.
8. Promote a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
9. Operate the properties in compliance with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements, including documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security, safety protocols, communication, product and service standards, host management practices, and budget controls.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the position of Cluster Purchasing Manager, candidates should have:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Purchasing Management or a relevant field.
• At least three years of purchasing experience, preferably in luxury hotels, with proven results. More than three years' experience is preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Legal authorization to work in Saudi Arabia at the time of application.
