Job Title: Cluster L&D Manager

Department: Learning & Development

Reporting to: Cluster Director of HR

About Us

Welcome to the next generation of hospitality excellence. At Red Sea Global Hospitality, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating an extraordinary work environment for our team members. Our ethos is deeply rooted in Respect, Responsibility, Passion, and Collaboration—values that guide us in our pursuit of operational brilliance, innovative guest service, and sustainable practices. Joining us means you will be part of a forward-thinking, pioneering organization, shaping the future of luxury hospitality, and contributing to the elevation of the Red Sea Global brand.

The Role

As Cluster L&D Manager, you will act as the architect of talent growth, bridging corporate L&D initiatives with localized execution. You will design and deliver bespoke training programs that elevate service excellence, leadership pipelines, and operational efficiency across your cluster, from urban luxury hotels to remote eco-resorts and F&B outlets. This role demands a hands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with on-property execution, fostering a culture of learning that empowers 3,000+ employees to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As Cluster L&D Manager, you will need to:

Cluster L&D Strategy Execution:

  • Adapt global L&D programs (leadership development, brand standards, digital upskilling) to regional needs, incorporating local languages, customs, and labor laws.
  • Conduct quarterly skills gap analyses with General Managers and Restaurants General Managers to prioritize training needs (e.g., butler service in palace hotels, wildlife safety for safari lodges).
  • Design localized Leadership Accelerators for 50+ property leaders (GMs, F&B Directors) with a focus on cross-property collaboration and crisis management.

Operational Training Excellence:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Facilitate RSGH mandated training programs.
  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
  • Manage/organize/facilitate/design training and development programs.
  • Conduct training needs analyses, develop and implement departmental and individual training plans and measure success.
  • Develop and distribute a monthly training calendar.
  • Coordinate trainers needed for various programs utilizing training team and department managers.
  • Support the training for and continued use of RSGH tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of participants in each training session.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with brand-specific service standards (Forbes 5-Star, LQA) through immersive workshops and mystery shopper feedback loops.
  • Deploy Guest Experience Mastery programs for frontline staff, including role-playing for high-stakes scenarios (VIP complaints, cultural sensitivity).
  • Lead pre-opening training for new properties in the cluster, coordinating with Corporate L&D to align on SOPs, safety protocols, and brand immersion.
  • Ensure the on-job training is conducted consistently.

Leadership Development & Succession Planning:

  • Identify and nurture high-potential talent (e.g., sous chefs, front office supervisors) through rotational assignments and cross-cluster mentorship.
  • Partner with Corporate L&D to implement global leadership curricula while adding regional modules (e.g., managing multicultural teams in GCC countries).
  • Maintain a 90-day readiness pipeline for critical roles, reducing leadership vacancy periods by 30%.

Technology & Innovation Adoption:

  • Track cluster-wide L&D metrics via dashboards (compliance rates, time-to-proficiency) and report insights to corporate HQ.

Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

  • Ensure 100% completion of mandatory training (safety, anti-harassment, GDPR) with localized content in dominant regional languages (e.g., Swahili, Arabic).
  • Conduct annual training audits across properties, addressing gaps in food safety (HACCP), liquor licensing, and emergency response.
  • Collaborate with Legal to align programs with regional labor laws (e.g., South Africa's Skills Development Act, UAE's Emiratization quotas).

Budget & Vendor Management:

  • Optimize costs by sharing trainers and resources across cluster properties (e.g., centralized culinary workshops for 10+ Executive Chefs).
  • Partner with Procurement to source eco-friendly training materials (digital manuals, upcycled supplies).

All other duties as required.

Key Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Hospitality, or Education; CPLP, SHRM, or CIPD certification preferred.
  • Luxury brand experience, relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • 5+ years in L&D leadership roles, with 2+ years in multi-property hospitality.
  • Hotel operations experience desirable with F&B background.

Core Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with advanced PowerPoint knowledge. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Creative and graphic design ability for presentation development and enhancement.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles and hospitality-specific training (service excellence, safety protocols).
  • Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
  • Proficiency in LMS platforms (Cornerstone, Docebo) and rapid authoring tools (Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
