Job description

Duties and Responsibilities


As Cluster Credit Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the credit department within Six Senses' financial operating standards. In conjunction with the Director of Finance and other executives, I am a key participant in setting the strategic direction of the two properties.


The duties and responsibilities will include:


  • Assess and approve guest credit applications to ensure eligibility and minimize financial risk.
  • Oversee billing and invoicing processes for all guest accounts, corporate contracts, and event clients.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up promptly on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
  • Analyze reports and financial data to make informed decisions on extending credit limits.
  • Conduct credit risk assessments for large group bookings, long-term stays, or special accounts.
  • Safeguard the properties' revenue by implementing preventive measures against credit fraud or payment disputes.
  • Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education of the team.
  • Operate the properties in compliance with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements; ensure documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communication, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed, and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the two properties.

Qualifications


To execute the position of Cluster Credit Manager, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results, including:


  • Some college education plus 2+ years of hotel accounting or auditing experience, including management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with more than five years’ experience in a hotel accounting role (preferred).
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
