Job Description
  • Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards, utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development.
  • Ensures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, and making or recommending necessary adjustments in line with hospital and nursing division philosophies and standards.
  • Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve identified health outcomes. Promotes a hearing environment.
  • Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies, and maintains an adequate stock of supplies.
  • Utilizes high-level communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Coordinates discharge arrangements with the case manager in accordance with DSFH discharge policy.
  • Performs other Quality Improvement responsibilities as delegated by the Nurse Manager.
  • Builds partnerships with patients and families to establish goals and plans for patient-centered care delivery.
  • Performs duties in accordance with the code of conduct and ethical standards outlined in HCM policies and guidelines.
