As a Client Solution Architect, you’ll find no two days are alike! You will interact externally with customers from different lines of business across various industries, each with unique requirements. Internally, you will work with colleagues across sales, professional services, presales engineers, and your peers. Your creativity, active listening, and analytical skills will be crucial in positioning, scoping, and selling the best suite of customer success services to help our customers achieve desired outcomes and maximize VMware’s solutions value.

Performance Outcomes (First 6-12 Months):

The primary objective of a Client Solution Architect is to discover customer transformation needs, from initial to ongoing phases, identify matching services, and develop transformational plans. Building trusted relationships at various levels and supporting VMware’s sales activities are key. You will design, develop, and articulate a package of Professional Services that help customers meet objectives, maximize investment value, and increase VMware solutions adoption.

Initial 30 Days:

  • Integrate with the EMEA Client Solution Architect community and learn how the Professional Services team operates to deliver high-quality proposals.
  • Meet the wider VMware team, build relationships, and leverage your knowledge to develop effective approaches and customer success strategies.

After 90 Days:

  • Become a core member of your regional team and a trusted advisor to sales teams.
  • Create customer-facing deliverables, including service proposals and digital transformation roadmaps.

Ongoing Development:

  • Enhance technical and soft skills through VMware's extensive learning platforms.
  • Shadow senior CSA’s on complex customer requirements and transformation designs, building industry experience.

The Work :

  • Work directly with customers to understand their business requirements.
  • Map VMware services to customer outcomes, tailoring end-to-end solutions.
  • Apply knowledge in areas like Multi-Cloud, Application Modernization, Anywhere Workforce, and Cyber Security.
  • Propose solutions considering technical, people, and process changes.
  • Present and validate solutions via presentations, workshops, and proposals.
  • Support sales in developing technical proposals.
  • Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams for customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to account strategy and planning.
  • Mentor team members and provide feedback for service improvements.
  • Participate in industry events like VMworld.
  • Set and achieve personal development goals with support from VMware.
  • Author blogs, articles, and white papers.
  • Travel approximately 30% across EMEA as required.
