Job description

As a Sales Manager, you will manage & lead the operational & strategic aspects of Government Sales for CKSA. Your responsibilities include retaining & growing the existing customer portfolio, acquiring new business revenue & market share in KSA, and managing accounts in the Govt sector as identified with the Country Manager.

You will provide leadership for the Government sales team, managing their daily activities & developing future talent.

By overseeing all sales initiatives, you will ensure the company meets customer acquisition and revenue growth targets, maintaining competitiveness and innovation. Your goal is to maximize the sales team's potential.

Operational and Strategic Responsibilities

  1. Achieve growth and meet sales targets by managing the KSA sales team.
  2. Develop and implement a strategic business plan to retain and grow the existing customer base through cross-selling and upselling.
  3. Recruit, set objectives, coach, and monitor performance of Government Sales staff.
  4. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs.
  5. Oversee sales team activities and performance.
  6. Present regular reports on sales, revenue, and team performance, with clear action plans.
  7. Identify emerging markets and monitor competition and new product developments.
  8. Forecast sales and deliver accurate projections to the Country Manager.
  9. Establish, measure, and report on sales KPIs regularly.
  10. Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
  11. Maintain an active sales pipeline using Salesforce, logging all activities.
  12. Manage the care, retention, and revenue growth of existing CE Govt clients.
  13. Communicate with clients to understand needs and explain product value.
  14. Use product knowledge to build trust and influence customer decisions.
  15. Quote prices and rates to close deals as needed.

People Management

  1. Manage the sales team effectively.
  2. Participate in hiring new employees.
  3. Ensure smooth onboarding with HR support.
  4. Identify training needs and upskill staff with HR assistance.
  5. Evaluate employees regularly for performance and professionalism.
  6. Supervise staff to ensure daily job performance.
  7. Counsel and discipline employees as necessary; plan and appraise job results.
  8. Provide coaching to improve performance.
  9. Set KPIs, objectives, and budgets for the team.

Requirements

Must have / be:

  1. Degree in Commerce or Economics preferred.
  2. At least 10 years of sales leadership experience within a multinational environment.
  3. Relevant B2B sales experience.
  4. Knowledge of the local region.
  5. Experience in developing departmental and organizational strategies aligned with company goals.
  6. Professional appearance and communication skills.
  7. Strong presentation and communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and in teams.
  9. Strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  10. Willingness to make difficult decisions when necessary.
