Job summary

Duruper in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural/Foundation Specialist to conduct condition assessments of transmission tower foundations, substation civil infrastructure, structural steelwork and concrete assets, identifying defects and recommending repair or replacement solutions.

The role involves reviewing drawings and reports, performing NDT coordination, and producing inspection reports and defect registers to support safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil, structural and foundation assessment.
• Strong knowledge of transmission tower foundations, substation civil infrastructure and structural steel/concrete assets.
• Experience in structural inspections, crack mapping, foundation assessment and defect identification.
• Knowledge of geotechnical conditions, settlement analysis, structural loading and foundation stability.
• Experience in reviewing engineering drawings, structural calculations and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of NDT methods and concrete/structural material testing.
• Ability to assess structural safety, serviceability and rehabilitation requirements.
• Chartered/Professional Civil or Structural Engineer status is desirable.
• NDT Level II certification for applicable testing methods is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct condition assessments of transmission tower foundations, substation foundations, gantries, buildings and structural assets.
• Inspect concrete and steel structures, trenches, retaining walls, fences and other civil infrastructure.
• Review structural drawings, geotechnical reports, foundation designs and loading conditions.
• Assess settlement, cracking, spalling, corrosion, concrete deterioration and anchor bolt conditions.
• Evaluate drainage, water ingress, structural stability and foundation integrity.
• Specify and coordinate appropriate NDT methods, surveys and material testing.
• Classify defects and evaluate structural safety, stability and serviceability.
• Perform or review structural calculations and recommend corrective actions.
• Recommend repair, strengthening, rehabilitation or replacement strategies.
• Prepare technical inspection reports, defect registers and assessment recommendations.
