Primary purpose of the job:

To supervise and control the construction, maintenance, repair, and testing of facilities safely, in accordance with client procedures and standards. Facilities include buildings, infrastructure, and plants. The candidate will be mobilized as Project Engineer, Office Civil Engineer, or Civil Maintenance Engineer based on experience and qualifications. The role involves providing work directions, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supervise all activities of assigned personnel and contractors.
  • Review work requests, allocate tasks, and monitor progress.
  • Participate in construction, maintenance, and testing of equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical advice, ensure proper use of tools, and carry out function tests.
  • Plan and execute routine and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Ensure plant availability and reliability.
  • Carry out commissioning activities and inspect work.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and assist in spare parts management.
  • Review drawings and specifications for modifications or improvements.
  • Supervise project work, participate in testing and commissioning, and record as-built drawings.
  • Ensure safety practices and compliance with regulations.
  • Utilize CAFM and other systems to optimize operations.
  • Conduct audits and ensure ISO standards are met.
  • Assist in developing maintenance programs and procedures.
Problem solving and complexity:

Handle complex structures, infrastructure, and installations. Review and recommend technical solutions. Leadership and commitment beyond duty hours are required.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of maintenance/project experience in Civil Engineering, with at least 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Secondary education plus a 4-year Civil Engineering degree; alternatively, 15 years' experience with a diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Good command of English and familiarity with CAD, MS Office, MS Project.
  • GCC experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability for a multinational environment.
