Join Parsons as a Civil and Structural Lead

Parsons is seeking a talented Civil and Structural Lead to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and direct the design, development, and implementation of civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with standards, managing teams, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Position Overview

You will complete a wide variety of engineering assignments, applying techniques and analyses within your discipline. As a fully qualified professional, you will utilize engineering theories and practices, possibly involving CAE/CAD applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites is expected.

Responsibilities

1. Perform complex engineering tasks accurately and efficiently, extracting information from CAD drawings.
2. Prepare computations, material estimates, surveys, and designs.
3. Develop drawings, specifications, and materials suitable for procurement and construction.
4. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and departments.
5. Prepare requisitions for equipment and materials.
6. Review supplier drawings and perform bid analyses.
7. Prepare and issue specifications and construction documents.
8. Provide technical guidance to CAD designers/drafters and engineers; may need to seal documents as a licensed professional.
9. Advise senior management on engineering matters.
10. Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of related experience; Professional Engineer registration may be required.

Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in CAD and related engineering software is required.
