Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

As Chief Security, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Security Department to provide exceptional services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Provide leadership and direction in all areas of security, loss control, security best practices, and security programs including strategic planning.
2. Provide guidance regarding best practice business security standards, solutions, and guidance to maintain a secure environment for the protection of hosts, guests, property, and information.
3. Monitor security conditions and conduct ongoing analysis of data received from both external and internal sources, advising on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
4. Collaborate with all departments and external groups to effectively resolve security-related issues.
5. Maintain relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other issuers of security requirements.
6. Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
7. Oversee and direct major security-related projects and physical security technologies, including card key access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance, security services, and data security systems.
8. Inspect and secure the resort's guest areas, public areas, and heart-of-the-house areas regularly, ensuring security and safety improvements are implemented within designated time frames.
9. Develop and implement a security training strategy for the property.
10. Ensure legal, statutory, and financial compliance, including documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communication, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Chief Security, the candidate must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results, including:

1. College or vocational training, plus four years of hotel or related security and safety experience and/or military/law enforcement experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Bachelor's degree and more than five years of experience in a similar security role are preferred.
3. FSLD License, Security Guard License.
4. Fluent in English and Arabic; additional languages are preferred.
