Job description

Our client, a leading and highly respected Canadian organization in the FMCG sector, is in the process of establishing operations in Saudi Arabia as part of its broader regional expansion strategy. We are currently seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the companys people and culture agenda from the ground up.

This newly created executive role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will play a central role in building local leadership, aligning global standards with regional practices, and preparing the organization for long-term growth including plans for eventual local manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design and execution of comprehensive HR strategies that support business growth and organizational transformation.
  • Oversee core HR functions including recruitment, performance management, training, compensation, employee relations, and engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on organizational design, talent planning, and leadership development.
  • Build a high-performance culture rooted in inclusion, innovation, and accountability.
  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi labor regulations and alignment with international HR best practices.
  • Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Play a key role in supporting the localization strategy and long-term workforce planning.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience within the FMCG or retail sector preferred.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations in Saudi Arabia.
  • Demonstrated success leading HR in a growth or transformation environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a strong asset.
