Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Saudi tax laws, VAT, Zakat, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and prepare management reports.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth audits and compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions.
- Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
- Assist in formulating the company's financial strategy and risk management policies.
Accounting Operations & Controls:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain and enhance internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Optimize cash flow management, working capital, and cost control initiatives.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and training to junior accountants to enhance their financial knowledge and capabilities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or SOCPA are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role in Transportation field.
- Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Saudi GAAP, Zakat, VAT, and other local regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or equivalent).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
