The Role

As a Chief Accountant, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring the effective management of all the financial matters of the hotel, working closely with other departments in matters affecting the financial operations of the property. To interact as required with suppliers and other business partners outside the hotel such as lawyers, insurance companies, tax consultants, auditors, commercial and government banks.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all the financial affairs of the hotel are conducted to the highest standards of honesty and integrity. High ethical standards are necessary to maintain both competitive advantage and the pride and confidence of our associates, and to provide quality products and services to customers and clients.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Chief Accountant, you will need to:

• Responsible for month-end closing tasks.
• Monitor and prepare monthly account reconciliations and take necessary actions.
• Issue monthly invoices for Red Sea Global Hospitality, General Manager, Store, and Shop rentals.
• Prepare all journal vouchers for month-end closing.
• Generate monthly financial statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives.
• Review and approve city ledger transactions before posting.
• Approve payment requests, travel expenses, employee advances, and petty cash before processing.
• Contribute to budget preparation, forecast reports, and monthly reporting to the corporate office.
• Perform any additional duties as required for operational smoothness.
