Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Chemist to join our team in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our laboratory, you will conduct petroleum and petrochemical analyses, keep SQC data updated, and maintain the ISO 17025 standard of the laboratory. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and apply your analytical skills to solve complex chemical problems.

  • Perform various petroleum and petrochemical analyses using advanced laboratory techniques and equipment
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated analytical instruments, including HPLC and GC, ICP-OES, CFR Engines
  • Develop and optimize analytical methods to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of analyses, and results in laboratory information management systems
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and methodologies
  • Stay current with the latest developments in chemistry and analytical techniques
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field (required)
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on laboratory experience
  • Proficiency in chromatography techniques, including HPLC, GC, and ICP-OES, CFR Engine
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation abilities
  • Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
  • Knowledge of chemical analysis methods and quality control procedures
  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in chemical laboratories
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards for testing and calibration laboratories
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
