Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Design and curate an authentic Oriental menu, incorporating traditional Flavors and modern culinary techniques.
  • Food Preparation: Skill fully prepares and cook a variety of Oriental dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and liaise with suppliers to source the finest and freshest ingredients. Manage food costs and minimize waste through effective planning and forecasting.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and sanitation. Implement and uphold strict food safety protocols in compliance with local health regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations and enhance guest satisfaction. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff in Oriental culinary techniques.

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a culinary role, with at least 1 year as a Chef de Partie or similar position specializing in Oriental cuisine. GCC exposure is preferred.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent professional training from a recognized institution.
  • Skills: Exceptional culinary skills with a deep understanding of Oriental cooking techniques and ingredients. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Languages: English fluency is required. Arabic fluency preferred.
  • Attributes: Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about Oriental culinary arts. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing guest preferences.
