Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meat Preparation: Skill fully prepares and portion various cuts of meat, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of fresh and high-quality meat products. Conduct regular stock checks and liaise with suppliers.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation in the butchery section. Implement and uphold strict food safety protocols.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen brigade to ensure seamless integration of meat products into the overall menu. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Menu Contribution: Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to develop and refine meat-based dishes, contributing innovative ideas and techniques.

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a butchery role, with at least 1 year as a Chef de Partie or similar position in a high-end establishment. GCC exposure is preferred.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent professional training from a recognized institution.
  • Skills: Exceptional butchery skills with a deep understanding of meat preparation techniques. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Languages: English fluency is required. Arabic fluency preferred.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, meticulous, and passionate about meat preparation. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing guest preferences.
