Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie Baker to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating a wide range of high-quality baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards
  • Develop and test new recipes to expand our menu offerings
  • Manage the daily production schedule to ensure timely delivery of baked goods
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Train and supervise junior bakers and kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create cohesive menu items
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
  • Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergen requirements
  • Participate in menu planning and cost control initiatives
Qualifications
  • Culinary degree or diploma in baking and pastry arts
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a baker or pastry chef in a high-volume kitchen or bakery
  • Proficiency in various baking techniques, including bread making, pastry preparation, and dessert creation
  • Strong knowledge of food safety principles and current food safety certification
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
