Job Description


We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie Baker to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating a wide range of high-quality baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.


  1. Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards
  2. Develop and test new recipes to expand our menu offerings
  3. Manage the daily production schedule to ensure timely delivery of baked goods
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety regulations
  5. Train and supervise junior bakers and kitchen staff
  6. Collaborate with the culinary team to create cohesive menu items
  7. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed
  8. Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
  9. Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergen requirements
  10. Participate in menu planning and cost control initiatives

Qualifications


  1. Culinary degree or diploma in baking and pastry arts
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a baker or pastry chef in a high-volume kitchen or bakery
  3. Proficiency in various baking techniques, including bread making, pastry preparation, and dessert creation
  4. Strong knowledge of food safety principles and current food safety certification
  5. Excellent time management and organizational skills
  6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  7. Strong communication and leadership skills
  8. Creativity and passion for developing new recipes and flavor combinations
  9. Understanding of Middle Eastern and international baking traditions
  10. Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergen management
  11. Willingness to work in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; familiarity with local ingredients and flavors is advantageous
  12. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
  13. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
