Education
Experience in a 5-star hotel
- Manage area of responsibility, ensuring smooth service delivery as well as assisting with other sections as required.
- Actively train and promote compliance with food safety standards, dietary requirements, hygiene, cleanliness and other compliance requirements of the kitchens area.
- Support in creation of menu recipes, pictures and training materials to ensure consistency and efficiency to meet the set standards.
- The ability to maintain a positive attitude and a professional disposition.
- The ability to maintain a full line of communication with supervisors and fellow workers and all hotel associates.
Qualifications- Extensive knowledge in preparation of pastry items such as: breakfast breads and pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, ganache, amenities, displays and centerpieces, etc.
- Fantastic passion for presentation and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar position, preferably in a 5 star hotel.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Well versed in all aspects of Food Hygiene, HACCP and OH&S to ensure safe working practices are followed within the kitchen.
- Strong communication, organisational skills and grooming standards.
