Deutsche Bank in the MEA region has expanded, and an opportunity has arisen in the Group Finance function in our Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) office.
This position involves supporting the Head of Finance, KSA (based in Riyadh), in providing comprehensive Finance support under the Regional Finance function to the main businesses in KSA: Corporate Banking and Wealth Management.
The direct reporting line is to the Head of Finance, KSA.

Your key responsibilities :
- Demonstrate solid banking and markets finance experience with hands-on expertise in areas such as:
- Liaising with the main banking regulator SAMA
- Managing external and internal audits, resolving issues promptly, and coordinating with relevant parties
- Handling regulatory and taxation returns, including reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax submissions
- Controlling the month-end close process, ensuring accurate revenue and cost bookings, and liaising with front office and operational staff in Riyadh
- Facilitating month-end balance sheet substantiation (MRP) as a secondary finance owner
- Ensuring internal controls are in place by liaising with business management and infrastructure functions
- Supporting the completion of new product approval risk assessments for new business initiatives
- Providing onshore KSA coverage for core finance roles
Your skills and experience :
- Strong product accounting knowledge for vanilla markets and banking products
- Ability to analyze and communicate operational or product booking risks and propose solutions
- Proficiency with finance systems (SAP, Janus, BCS, FIM) and data standards
- Recognized accounting qualification with 2-3 years post-qualification experience (total 5-6 years), or 4-5 years relevant finance experience without qualification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support multi-functional relationships
- Proactive, with a hands-on approach and capacity for initiative
