Overview

Position: Centralized Scheduler

Location: Mentor, OH

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays (Hours Vary), 2 evenings until 7pm

Compensation: Starting at $15/hr pending experience

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a Full-time Centralized Scheduler responsible for scheduling patients for therapy across an assigned region. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and analytical skills, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and keen attention to detail, with a focus on quality and process improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining electronic referrals and authorizations
• Collecting co-pays and verifying insurance benefits
• Supporting scheduling for the In-Home Therapy program and overflow tasks
• Assisting with PTO coverage and potential PRN evening and weekend shifts, rotating with team members

Responsibilities

• Understanding rehab therapy treatments and medical terminology
• Knowledge of Industrial Services and product lines
• Excellent communication skills at multiple levels
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ensuring efficient office operations and timely patient and referral communications
• Scheduling procedures accurately and reviewing appointments for completeness
• Pre-registration and demographic data collection
• Receiving physician orders and scheduling procedures via phone and electronic media
• Gathering clinical history and providing instructions for procedures
• Communicating scheduling concerns and coordinating with team members
• Placing calls for pre-surgical appointments and developing referral sources
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High school Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of medical office experience

Preferred:

• 1 year of front desk experience
