Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Security Officer (CCTV Operator) to monitor CCTV and security systems, respond to incidents, and support the Security team in maintaining safety and service standards across the hotel. You will handle investigations, maintain logs, and assist with access control as needed.

The role requires vigilance, calm decision-making, and strong communication to ensure guest and colleague safety 24/7.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in security operations or CCTV monitoring preferred.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and security procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to prepare reports.
• Strong observation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overnights as required.
• Relevant security or CCTV certification/license where required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras and security equipment for incident detection.
• Identify, investigate, and report suspicious activities.
• Maintain continuous observation of hotel public areas and entrances.
• Record and escalate incidents per hotel procedures.
• Support emergency responses including evacuations and alarms.
• Coordinate with Security Officers and Duty Managers during investigations.
• Maintain logs, shift and incident reports, and security records.
