- Prepare and position patients for invasive heart procedures.
- Conduct cardiovascular tests to record patients' cardiac activity using specialized electronic test equipment, recording devices, and laboratory instruments.
- Monitor gauges, recorder, and video screens of the computer system during imaging of the cardiovascular system.
- Performs and interprets electrocardiograms and other diagnostic tests.
- Helps doctors diagnose blood vessel and heart problems.
- Makes patients feel comfortable during tests and procedures.
- Works with doctors, nurses, and other medical and administrative staff.
- Ensures all tools and equipment are in good condition and stocks supplies.
- Notifies doctors and nurses about patient test results.
- Keeps detailed patient medical records.
- Uses electronic health record software (EHR).

- Performs inventory management for the Cath Lab
- If applicable, ensure the Cath lab items have the appropriate barcodes and rotate stock to ensure no items are out of date.
- Participates in an environment that ensures quality work, and group morale and is conducive to maintaining effective lines of communication
- Demonstrates teamwork approach by assisting coworkers in expediting processes to ensure efficient and effective workflow in the delivery of quality care
- Provides excellent customer service to our patients, physicians, offices, and coworkers
- Assists physicians in cases of adverse reaction or in acute emergencies as necessary
- Demonstrates knowledge of emergency codes, location of emergency equipment, and method of activation
- Fulfills requirements of Scrub Position giving care appropriate to age under the supervision of a physician
- Contribute to the radiation safety program of the hospital.
- Comply with CBAHI, MOH, SCFHS, and Nuclear Authorities standards, and regulations.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent.
- Proof of radiation safety Training and Competency.
- Competency in Cath lab.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Qualification is highly preferred.
- Current Registration in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the radiology department.
Skills and Competencies:
- Competent in dealing with the Cath lab equipment, different types of catheters and guidewires, Cath lab console, and control room.
- Knowledge of regulations established by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties related to healthcare practices.
- Broad knowledge of radiological principles, standards, and practices.
- Proven experience working as a Cath lab technician.
- Ability to move or lift patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A patient and compassionate disposition.
- Skills to operate technology equipment and web application software related to the position.
