Job description

Vendor Manager position is for a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of driving category growth and be an effective leader and communicator when working with Amazon.sa's key partners and vendors, as well as internal colleagues and cross-functional teams. The candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for retail, flexible, and committed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the ‘business owner’ for assigned categories, understanding internal and external variables impacting the business, including forecasting, monitoring, reporting, and driving projects and promotions to meet objectives.
  • Maximize Amazon’s profitability and expand product selection.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contracts, day-to-day interactions, and negotiations for marketing funds.
  • Develop business plans for new opportunities and execute project plans for launching new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct financial analyses to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiation skills and results delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large data sets to improve performance and processes.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, inventory management, and product development.
